Goodbyes to my fellow trampers/Uno players. Waihohonu to Taranaki Falls
and out to Whakapapa. Gave Chrissie a lift to Taupo, then drove back to
Auckland. Arrived in time for Auckland's rush hour traffic 
Thursday, 29 January 2004 Round to Waihohonu. Doing the whole circuit is definitely worthwhile.
The crossing was spectacular, but this walk was great too!
Wednesday, 28 January 2004 Did the Tongariro Crossing. Spectacular! Pretty hard going, but
didn't take too long. Got to Ketetahi Hut about 1pm. 
slept.

Walked from Cape Reinga to Cape Maria Van Diemen.
Doesn't look that far, but it's actually a long way (6hrs return).
Shared the beach with a pod of dolphins surfing the waves.
